On Saturday, March 6th Mark Bartlett of NRG participated as one of several presenters at the Mass. Envirothon Late Winter Workshop.  His topics of discussion were:

Adverse Impacts of Poor Development on Watersheds

Low Impact Development (LID) solutions

Impacts of Leaking Underground Tanks on Groundwater Quality

Example Solutions Utilizing In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) for remediating hard to reach zones of contamination.

There were over 100 high school students and teachers at this event which included DEP, UMass and private consultant presentations, and a Q&A panel discussion that followed the presentations which provided students with an opportunity to ask further questions and to explore ways to develop their Envirothon projects that will be due in coming months.
