Norfolk Ram employs ESRI's ArcView / ArcGIS 3.2 and 8.0 and extensions to complement our project work and to develop site maps or feasibility study plans for civil and environmental engineering projects. GIS spatial data sets (shape files, coverages, and AutoCAD files) can be generated for our municipal clients and kept up-to-date. If appropriate, data sets from MassGIS can be integrated in our project work. Custom ArcView applications can also be developed using ArcView scripting.
Norfolk Ram's GIS services have been integrated into the following types of projects:
- Mapping of surface water supply protection areas
- Creation of automated file systems for municipal Water Department using a customized ArcView application
- Creation of GIS maps that focus on land use and zoning within the town's water resource protection district
- Data development and mapping for the advance planning of municipal water supply wells
- Development of 3-D modeling for a landfill capping project
- Development of a suite of maps showing natural resources for a municipal planning study of flood-prone areas and stormwater management
- Development of a wastewater mapping project to merge septic system records and assessor's parcel data
Norfolk also provides custom aerial photography services for real estate development and planning purposes.
