Norfolk Ram was one of the first firms in Massachusetts to design and implement stormwater management and site plan engineering based on conservation-oriented Low Impact Development (LID) principles. In 2006, the firm was awarded a Smart Growth Achievement award from the State of Massachusetts for a LID stormwater management project in Cohasset, MA that included design and installation of a series of bioretention areas (raingardens) to improve the water quality of Lily Pond.
