Services include pre-trial preparation and negotiations and appeals for PRP liability. Norfolk Ram's acute understanding of environmental and civil engineering issues provides a strong background from which to advise and educate clients on the complexities of environmental concerns.
Norfolk's is uniquely qualified to provide forensic environmental engineering to establish cause and origin, to determine liability, and to allocate responsibility where complex or multi-party issues exist which can be extremely valuable in a trial setting. Forensic services include chemical screening, and the evaluation of waste contaminants.
Norfolk Ram's professional engineers also assist attorneys in technical consultant and expert witness roles for litigation involving civil engineering (for land use, drainage, and wastewater issues). This work typically involves preparation of forensic and/or remedial site investigation reports to establish causation and provide recommendations for elimination of drainage or wastewater disposal issue being disputed. In cases involving eminent domain land takings, Norfolk Ram typically provides court exhibits, an engineer’s report and expert testimony for establishing land use options and development potential, in support of appraised valuation.
