Norfolk completed a Phase I environmental site assessment on a 4-acre redevelopment property for the Southeast Regional Planning and Economic Development District under the MassDevelopment Program. The firm performed a Phase I environmental site assessment as the first step in the redevelopment of this former metal screw manufacturing company where historic releases were causing auto-combustion is an associated disposal lagoon. Use of XRF and UVF technologies enabled Norfolk to perform low-cost segregation of contaminated building materials and facilitated building demolition. Norfolk has ongoing involvement in this project.
